Cleaning a vinyl fence in most instances will be as easy as hooking up a garden hose with a sprayer and drenching the fence thoroughly. Over time there may be some stains and soils that will be more difficult to remove. Stains from grass, or rubber tires will take a bit more scrubbing.
When the hose and sprayer doesn’t clean the entire area, you may have to apply more pressure and elbow grease. Follow these simple instructions: Pour dish soap into a warm bucket of water, soak an old towel good and rub it across the stain. A non-abrasive pad might make the job easier. Be sure to rinse the soapy residue off of the fence.
If the above method failed to get the required results try adding bleach to the soapy water. You might want to wear rubber gloves to protect your hands and arms because that harsh bleach will no doubt run down your arms.
To clean stains that have either sun baked into the surface of the fence or any other stain like tar, grease or graffiti stronger solutions may be required. Bleach added to the bucket filled with 5 parts water, and 1 part bleach may work. That mixture will be better on dark colored fences. On white fences, you may want to add more bleach like 3 parts water and 1 part bleach.
You may need to use mineral spirits or automotive tar remover to get the heavier stains removed. Start this procedure first by spraying down the entire fence area. Moisten a cloth with either/or, but not necessarily both chemicals. Rub the stained area and be careful of the pressure you use. You will definitely need those rubber gloves.
One of the non-abrasive cleaners you could use to clean your fence is the Magic Eraser put out by Mr. Clean. This cleaner works well on stubborn stains, and just requires a gentle rubbing.
If nothing has worked so far, there is another product that may do the job for you, use Xylene. Moisten your cloth with the liquid and scrub the area vigorously. Remember to spray the chemical off with your garden hose.
Experiment to find the best cleaning method and what works best for your fence by starting at an inconspicuous place, especially if your fence is a dark color. Don’t leave the soapy water with bleach on your darker colored fences.
If you don’t want to go to all that trouble, check online to find someone who will be happy to clean your fence and it shouldn’t need it more than once or twice a year.

Orange County Vinyl Fence: Fences for Privacy
If you consider your back yard part of your home, you may want to invest in a fence to achieve that purpose. Wood fencing is a popular choice because wood is relatively easy to install and with a bit of upkeep they keep their beauty for years.
If your choice is to install a chain link fence, you might consider lining it with vegetation, plants, flowers, and trees. Those items will eventually give you the privacy you desire. However if you don’t want to wait for the plants to grow, another possibility for that complete privacy is a vinyl fence. They’re attractive, they never need painting, insects don’t like them, and they’re beautiful to look at. What more could you want?
Decide what type of fence meets your requirements. Do you only want privacy? Does it matter if you’ll have to do repairs later on? Or are you the type who enjoys working out in the yard? Do you enjoy painting and sprucing up all around your property? After you’ve answered those questions then get busy and get the job done.
If you want to do the work yourself, there are plenty of sites online that will give you step-by-step directions. Your local library also has books with pictures and explanations that are easy to follow. So read up on the pros and cons of every type of private fence.
If you can’t imagine yourself working in the back yard hour after hour digging holes for the posts, mixing cement for the holes, and you’ll still have to install the cross bar and nail the slats before you’ll see the actual fence.
There are many fence contractors that will be happy to install your fence for you. They will even buy the materials needed for the job, and they’ll want quality material as well. You’ll be amazed how fast that fence goes up. Your new neighbors will be knocking on your door asking who installed your fence. You’ll have pride in your home again when you hide those things like garbage cans, air conditioners, lawn tools, and anything else you want kept out of sight.
When you decide on a contractor, ask if he has references. Check the contractor out and make sure he is a legitimate contractor and not some fly by night guy who is only after your money. There are plenty around, and your fence will be their advertisement for more jobs for his company. He’ll want to do the best possible job and have a completely satisfied customer. You!

Proper Fences for Your Area
There are many things to consider when you decide you want a fence surrounding your entire property, or simply the back yard. Will your fence be for privacy or do you only want it to keep the kids and pets in, and the neighbors kids and pets out. Do you want your fence to be attractive or functional or both? There are fences that will fill every need, and the first thing you may want to do is walk around your neighborhood and see what your neighbors have chosen. Then either contrast or copy, the decision is yours and yours alone.
Are you planning on spending many years in your current home, or will you be moving within five years or so. If you’ll be there indefinitely, you may want a fence that after it’s installed you don’t want to paint, stain, or replace it again. Vinyl fencing may be your best bet. If you’ll be moving within a short time, wood or chain link may serve your purpose.
If you’re looking for beauty and durability a sturdy brick wall will last for years on end. The brick obstructs your view into your neighbor’s yard and it gives you complete privacy. It won’t blow over in a strong wind; it won’t rust or need paint. However the costs may be prohibitive, and the block wall is considered a permanent fixture, and your home taxes will undoubtedly rise.
There’s nothing prettier than a new well-constructed wood fence. It has a beauty of its own, but count on it needing paint or stain within a couple of years after installation, and every couple of years thereafter. It will also need to be replaced, if not completely at least partially. The posts need to be set in cement, and those holes don’t dig themselves. The wood needs to be treated especially where it comes in contact with dirt.
Even the cowboys knew that those barbwire fences changed the west and chances are you won’t need to go that far to fence in your animals. There are many types of fencing from wrought iron and chain link to ornamental and functional.
Your choices may be based on cost alone. Chain link is probably the cheapest and will last a long time too. Whatever your choices, remember that quality and price go hand in hand. A local contractor will be able to help you make the right choices and explain the pros and cons on every type of fence. It still comes down to the guy paying for the fence and if you’re that guy choose wisely.

Orange County Vinyl Fence: There Are Advantages to Vinyl Fencing
Yes, just like the title says, there are advantages to Vinyl; however there is not enough space in this article to list them all. We’ll start with the obvious. Vinyl fencing is weather proofed because they make the fencing from plastic. You may be more familiar with PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride). Imagine your PVC pipe as a fence. What that’s not possible? If you tried that without the proper stretching and molding, you’d be disappointed. Plastic’s been around for many years and, and according to Webster it is pliable and capable of being molded.
The history of plastic or vinyl started long before DuPont revolutionized it early in the 1930’s and nylon was the first purely synthetic fiber. Remember they used nylon to make nylon stockings for women. Nylon replaced the silk stockings, but most women could not afford either. Cotton was their choice but lacked the sheerness of nylon or silk. Then in 1941 during the Second World War, the United States government took charge of the plastic/vinyl industry, and used it to make parachutes among other things. The use of synthetic rubber during that time became popular as well.
Why did it take so long for vinyl fencing to become popular? That’s a good question. Possibly because the uses were considered below standard to other more popular materials. Materials like wood, chain link, or brick and cement. Today however consumers are accustomed to the synthetics because they last longer and when a professional installs vinyl fencing in a neighborhood everyone takes notice.
If you live in California almost every home has a fence around the back yard, and many choose to extend them to their front yard as well. Privacy is one of the biggest attractions but beauty follows close behind. When you add durability and the fact that never again will you paint that fence, it’s debatable if that follows third, but probably fights for the first two attractions.
Needless to say, vinyl fencing upgrades your home and neighborhood too. It adds value to your home without raising your home taxes. There are several types for those who desire complete privacy to the front picket fence that stands at attention around your garden or front yard.
Quality is one of the biggest differences from the local hardware store to the private professional who will tell you the advantages of both. The homeowner can also install the fencing himself and it doesn’t take an Einstein to achieve that goal.

Los Angeles Vinyl Fences
Whenever you invest in a fence whether wood, block, chain link, or wrought iron you might consider Los Angeles vinyl fencing. Vinyl fences have grown in popularity and there are good reasons why. Considering the pricing, chain link is probably the cheapest, however it offers no privacy. Block and wrought iron will be more expensive, and vinyl fencing falls somewhere in between.
If the wood fencing seems practical, throughout its life it will need many repairs and often need painting. New wood fencing is beautiful, but within a year the sun and water will bleach it out and the wood grain will not last. Within two years, it will need another paint job. Wind will take its toll as well.
Like we said before, vinyl fencing has grown in popularity and now you see it in every neighborhood. The attraction is obvious because it will never need to be painted, and rarely if ever will it need repairing. It is beautiful to look at and will improve your property curb’s appeal in every setting.
If you want your back yard to be serviceable and private, you’ll find that Los Angeles vinyl fences will suit your needs. A vinyl picket fence around a garden or across your front yard will bring your property up to a standard few in your neighborhood can achieve. It will look beautiful as it surrounds your property marking off your property.
Today there are many varieties of Los Angeles vinyl fences and there will surely be one that will bring your fencing needs, and once installed, the only thing you will have to maintain it is to spray it off if it becomes soiled.
Easy to care for, beautiful to look at, never have to paint it and you may be able to find a variety that will look very similar to wood, and only the installer will know. Another advantage insects, like termites won’t like it and neither will other small animals that can chew through wood.
So if you’re still in doubt, call Los Angeles vinyl fences and they will be able to inform you of all the pros and cons of the vinyl fence. You’ll be happy you called and you’ll be one of many who have checked out this versatile durable material before you settle on the other traditional products. You’ll be especially happy when you watch your neighbor paint and repair their wood fence.

Vinyl Patio Covers: More Affordable And Easier To Install
Protecting your patio has never been easier nor has it ever been more affordable! Vinyl patio covers are both affordable and easy to install unlike their wood and metal cousins. While wood and metal patio covers almost always require the assistance of a professional when it comes to their installation, vinyl patio covers do not.
This is because vinyl patio covers are much less massive than those made of wood and metal and therefore can be installed with a little effort and help from a friend or two. Vinyl patio covers also offer homeowners greater variety than do patio covers made of wood and metal. Variety comes by way of color, texture, design, and cost.
With spring just eight or nine weeks away now's the time to begin thinking about preparing your patio and your backyard in general for the spring and summer. A vinyl patio cover costs less, is more durable, and easier to install than those made of wood and/or metal. Should you have any questions about vinyl patio covers please be sure to contact us so that we may assist you.

Low Quality Vinyl Fences: Buyer Beware
So you've been sold on the idea of purchasing a vinyl fence as opposed to a new wooden or metal fence. A vinyl fence can indeed be enticing for reasons related to both budget and design but homeowners must be wary of the many subpar vinyl fences on the market.
While nearly every company that manufactures and sells vinyl fences sells their products as being aesthetically comparable to wood, there are many brands and types of vinyl fences that are not up to snuff in terms of their design and construction. This is especially true of vinyl fences that are marketed as having the ability to be indistinguishable from a wood fence.
Vinyl fences constructed of lower quality plastics may, from great distances, look like wood but anyone who gets within a few yards of one will quickly recognize that the fence isn't made of wood but rather low-grade plastic. These types of fences don't even come close to looking like a middle-of-the-road vinyl fences either and instead look like nothing more than cheap plastic.
If you are currently searching for a vinyl fence for your home and are unsure of the different grades of quality please be sure to contact us that we may be of assistance.

Types of Fences for Your Yard
As you look at the variety of fencing products, you’ll be amazed at the differences between them. Some offer total privacy and security, while others offer neither of those qualities.
The picket fence is cute, not especially beautiful, but it serves its purpose when enclosing the front yard or simply around a garden area. Dogs may be able to jump over them and children climb over them, while smaller animals may climb between the slats. The picket fence is made from either wood or vinyl. Wood will need paint, and if you’ve never painted a picket fence, it is a real pain in the neck. They are usually less than four feet high so offer no security to or from anyone.
The second fence we look is a slat fence, and is made of wood or vinyl, and it offers the same beauty and security as the picket fence. In other words, animals and children will simply crawl under it or jump over it. You may see the slat fence around horse corrals, and they are rarely over five feet in height, and for some reason horses don’t jump over them.
The wooden lattice fence again has no security although some view it as pretty. It is often installed over wood or block walls to give an added benefit of security and privacy. Rarely if ever will you see a lattice fence as the entire fence. It is rather flimsy and needs other material to be strong.
The chain link fence is seen often where high winds blow. Beauty is never connected to the chain link fence, but durability is. The average height is about four or five feet, and can be jumped by any agile person or animal. Often the chain link stands as a barrier at businesses where you might spot rolls of barb wire that has been installed on top of the chain link. This discourages people from dropping in unannounced and unwanted. Those chain link fences are normally between five and eight feet high.
Many people install their own fencing, and it is relatively easy, but there is a lot of hard work involved. Plus you will have to purchase the material. If you don’t like to sweat, then you might consider hiring a fencing company to purchase and install your fences around your yard. They know what type lasts longer, and will be able to help you choose the type best suitable for your area.
