Critical Questions Other Vinyl Contractros Hope You Never Ask

There are some questions that vinyl contractors would prefer you do not ask. These questions are often avoided by contractors simply because they either expose an issue with a product or business and sometimes their ethics.

Here at the Vinyl Fence Co. We pride ourselves on answering all questions regardless of how uncomfortable or uneasy they might make some of our competitors. If you're an individual looking to purchase vinyl products for your home the following is a list of questions you should ask. Be mindful however as any contractor that avoids these questions may be hiding something. Buyer beware!
  • Are you properly licensed with the Contractors State License Board?
  • Are you registered with the Better Business Bureau?
  • Do you have any unresolved or unanswered complaints at your local Better Business Bureau or the California State License Board?
  • How many years have you been in business?
  • Do you have liability insurance and do you carry Worker's Compensation insurance? Can I please see copy of this policy?
  • Are your installers bonded and certified? Can I see a copy of the policy?
  • Do you use subcontractors?
  • Are your installers factory trained and certified?
  • Do your installers arrive in uniform? Do they have a photo ID identifying them as employees?
  • Are the installers required to use specific brand tools and materials for the installation process?
  • Do you have references in my neighborhood? How many?
  • Do you have a showroom?
  • Where is your vinyl manufactured?
  • How much titanium dioxide is used in the manufacturing of your vinyl products?
  • Is the vinyl co-extruded or mono-extruded?
A contractors failure to answer any of these questions should immediately raise a red flag for any consumer interested in vinyl products. Should you have any questions of your own or need answers to these questions please be sure to contact us that we may be of assistance.
